Dear neighbors,

These are not easy times. Families struggle every day to make ends meet. How we respond to it is a test of who we are as a people. That is why my focus has been on growing our economy and getting people back to work. It is the reason why I supported the Jobs Tax Credit for companies to bring new, high-paying jobs to our state. And it's working; Colorado is a global leader in attracting more than 1,800 new companies, tens of thousands of new jobs, and millions in new investment.

I work every day to represent you, my neighbors, and to stand up to greedy special interests in Denver. I made sure that corporations pay their fair share by saving taxpayers $140 million in eliminating corporate tax giveaways. As a four-time cancer survivor, I am tough on insurance companies. I passed legislation that bans them from handing out bonuses for denying claims.

Coloradans deserve a government that is honest and effective, in order to protect our communities and ensure freedom, opportunity and security for all Coloradans. We owe it to our children to be good stewards and provide them with a strong future by investing in a world-class public education. Their legacy is our responsibility.
